The children's author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

The comedian

Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, the company has said.

A spokesman for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving female individuals.

The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."

A Highly Successful Publishing History

Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

His bibliography includes more than 40 books altogether, including a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.

A Dual Career

His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE several years ago for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
