Nigel Farage Claims Educators of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Racial Topics

The political figure stated that teachers would go on strike shortly after a success at the polls for his party, charging that they are “poisoning our kids” by instructing children that black pupils are victims and Caucasian students are perpetrators.

At a gathering for a Michigan-based religious institution, the politician expressed his viewpoint on the UK education system, stating that the “Marxist left” had “now in control of our education system”.

“I’m anticipating a walkout by educators very quickly after securing a victory,” Farage commented during a Q&A session.

“They are poisoning our kids. They are telling them to feel guilt about their nation. They inform little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black that he is oppressed and a white child of the same age that he is a perpetrator. They create division, instead of fostering unity. They are feeding this harmful mindset.”

In response to Farage’s claims, the head of a major education union rejected the notion that the schools were under Marxist influence as “absurd”. Kebede noted that any strikes must relate to teachers’ terms and conditions, and questioned whether the party would target these right after taking office.

“The politician has crafted his political career on dog-whistle politics and currently, like Trump, he is targeting educators and their organizations for a fight,” Kebede stated.

“This is highly reckless. I don’t – and nor does my union – advocate such divisive theories as he’s suggesting … Should he become prime minister he would sell out our public services, particularly schooling … and the outcome would be catastrophic for education and children.”

The party, which is leading the polls by about 10 points, has provided limited specifics on a proposed education policy and seems not to have designated an education lead.

Nonetheless, his comments indicated the group would reform the system and the curriculum. He said: “We face an enormous task with schooling – truly monumental. And, it won’t happen quickly; it requires years, years to turn this around.”

He stated that younger generations are receptive to critical thinking, but millennials were “absolutely hopeless”.

Honoring a conservative activist, he commented: “My goal for schooling is to teach critical thinking – to educate individuals that there are two points of view and they should decide for themselves as opposed to current practices where views are labeled good or bad. It’s a massive job in the UK and US.”

The party has conflicted with a major educators’ organization, after Kebede called the party “far right and racist” and described the leader as “a cheap imitation”.

The politician has charged the union head with being “a self-declared Marxist” … someone who is absolutely determined that our children should be poisoned through education, their thinking tainted about everything to do with this country” and maintained that the union is trying to indoctrinate teenagers against Reform.

Almost one million people are employed in education in the UK, with educators comprising half and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The major education union has about 450,000 members.

Countrywide walkouts over educators’ salaries and work environment in 2023 caused widespread disruption in educational institutions and millions of days of lost learning for children.

At the US event, Farage also pledged to help spread the online educational material of the Christian college in the UK. He said organizations like it were “key to resistance”, noting: “I mean this. I’ll assist attract vast numbers of young people to these educational programs. I make that commitment now and I’ll do that.”

The college, a religious educational establishment, provides complimentary classes. According to its online description: “Comprehensive learning is necessary for personal happiness and to maintain the benefits of freedom. The college furnishes these beautiful courses for free to all who wish to learn.”
